Went 2 - 2 in 2 Online Smash tournaments today, Howling at the Moon and OFFBEAT.

Really happy overall with how I played, got a HUGE upset in HATM and went almost exclusively Pit (little bit of Joker here and there)

I actually had no words when I read that for the first time. He didn't say, "oh this guy is cute" or "I want to talk to him" or even register this moment as a "oh I like men" (and the implication is that this is the first moment he'd really registered liking men, because he isn't entirely sure why he's praying just that Adam made him yearn and want i'm like a dog with a chew toy right now). No, he didn't do any of this. He looked at the sky and prayed to god and committed himself wholeheartedly to the first boy he met who made him feel that way. what the fuck what the fuck???

Anyway, on the left, Weretiger. Can become a tiger, a person, or a larger tiger-person hybrid with a husky voice and tendency to roll thier R's. They like to keep tidy little cottagecore cabins in the woods, full of herb gardens and cats and poultry and such. They tend stay near people because they like occasional company and have favored mates, but not too close because they value privacy and don't care to spread thier curse (why make more hunting competition). Look I've seen how y'all react to Tony the Tiger, I don't have to explain this one.

On the right, the werebear! They have a normal (usually thick and hairy) person form, a larger bear person form, and a full bear form. They're also usually really nice. Most refuse to bite unless the target is a willing companion or apprentice, and will stick with them for a while to help them gain control of the curse. They just love enjoying and protecting nature, doing good out where they can't accidentally hurt anybody.

possible hot take: i hope that payjay is the only ship in inanimate insanity that gets canonized. one of my biggest fears for the future of the show is that they'll start trying to pander to hardcore shippers to the point where they lose focus of other things and the show becomes fanficbait slop. it's possible that they can navigate romance in the show without falling into that trap but ough... Scary.....

Letting off steam about Steve Minecraft in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate

y'all I'm gettin real annoyed at seeing the exact same thing that happened with Bayo happen with Steve but people are fully incapable of understanding that history is repeating itself. I keep saying that when the next smash game comes out Steve (if he's there) will be fixed. and everyone looks at me like I'm insane. or just say they want him gone

people said basically the same shit about Bayo when she was taking over smash "she's too strong, she's broken, she needs to be removed"

and now she's high mid tier, far as I know. and if she's higher, the fact that no-one is talking about her means she's not a problem anymore

legit the same reason Steve is too strong is the same reason Bayo was at the end of smash 4. they both released in a state that was too strong/broken, and the devs only had one or two updates to balance them, and obviously that wasn't enough

anyway, I'm having a tough time at work and I'm really angry at work. so I'm rambling at y'all about Steve cuz I needa let off some steam
